Dr. George Marosan: Biography

Dr. Marosan was born of Hungarian parents in Romania.

He escaped the dictatorial communist regime of Ceausescu with his parents and a younger brother, who also became a physician. Their odyssey of nine months took them through Israel and a Greek refugee camp before arriving in Buffalo, New York at age 15. Three days later he was in high school, with no knowledge of the English language, and applied himself fully to realize his childhood dream of becoming a surgeon.

Following his medical school training at Rush Medical College in Chicago and two years of general surgery residency, he joined the Air Force. He felt his duty to serve his adopted country which gave him so much. He completed his residency training in general surgery and plastic surgery (seven years) and successfully became board certified in both.

After 10 years in the military, he resigned his commission as a Lt. Colonel and started his plastic surgical practice in Bellevue, Washington. He is the owner and medical director of Bellevue Plastic Surgeons with one of the largest accredited in office surgical suites. He and his knowledgeable and dedicated staff run a very busy aesthetic practice with great attention for detail. Dr. Marosan is always accessible to his patients, whether they are local or international clientele.

Dr. Marosan lives in Newcastle with his wife, Boglarka (Bogi), and sons Zoltan and Nandor, both students at Bellevue Christian School. They enjoy outdoor activities and Dr. Marosan plays soccer in the Greater Seattle's Soccer League.
