Tickle Lipo in Seattle and Bellevue

George Marosan, MD

Tickle Lipo is an innovative new liposuction method that’s now available to residents of Seattle and Bellevue at Bellevue Plastic Surgeons, which is run by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. George Marosan. Tickle Lipo is a minimally invasive, outpatient liposuction procedure. It is named after the tickling sensation that patients feel while undergoing the procedure.

During the Tickle Lipo procedure, a small tube called a cannula is used to remove fat from beneath the skin. The cannula is activated by air pressure and glides through fat tissue with ease. The Tickle Lipo procedure results in smooth contouring, less bruising, better skin tightening, and rapid recovery. Tickle Lipo helps patients achieve precise results safely and comfortably.

What Makes Tickle Lipo Different?

Tickle Lipo, which is also known as Nutational Infrasonic Liposculpture (NIL), was developed in Belgium. The Tickle Lipo cannula utilizes a low frequency acoustic infrasonic vibration to remove body fat. The cannula creates what is known as a “nutational” force, which breaks up fat without harming surrounding tissues, nerves, and blood vessels.

When Dr. Marosan performs Tickle Lipo, he moves the cannula back and forth in a smooth and elegant fashion. During traditional liposuction procedures, on the other hand, surgeons have to push the cannula back and forth vigorously. Although laser lipo is considered less invasive than traditional liposuction, there is a risk of burning the skin and underlying tissues.

Advantages of Tickle Lipo

Tickle Lipo is an affordable procedure that allows for the precise sculpting of virtually all areas of the body. Practically anyone who has good skin elasticity is a candidate for Tickle Lipo. Unlike with traditional liposuction, general anesthesia is not required because Tickle Lipo causes little to no discomfort. Local anesthesia is used to numb the treatment area.

During the Tickle Lipo procedure, fat is emulsified and aspirated simultaneously. The procedure is fairly quick, lasting about one to two hours in total. Only two to three tiny incisions needs to be made in most treatment areas, so stitches are not necessary and the risk of scarring is minimal. Furthermore, the Tickle Lipo cannula doesn’t emit heat, so the fat that is recovered can be used in other procedures, such as buttocks enhancements.

What Happens After the Tickle Lipo Procedure?

Approximately 15-30 minutes after the Tickle Lipo procedure, you can go home. You may resume normal daily activities right away, but you will be required to wear special compression garments for the first three weeks or so following the procedure. You will start seeing results as fluid leaves the treatment areas. The final outcome will become noticeable within three to six months.
