Artefill is an FDA-approved non-resorbable injectable implant. It consists of polymethyl metacrylate (PMMA) microspheres in a bovine collagen carrier. The collagen helps in the uniform dispersion of the PMMA granules and prevents clumping. You need to have a collagen test if you have never had collagen, and then the Artefill can be injected one month later.
